CFMOTO-KTMR2R Joint Venture Ground-Breaking Ceremony

March 28, 2018, the grand CFMOTO-KTMR2R Joint Venture Ground-Breaking Ceremony took place on a sunny spring day. The local authorites, CFMOTO management, KTM management and other invited distinguished guests all presented and witnessed this milestone moment.

The ground-breaking ceremony signifies an official start of the Joint Venture project. The new company occupies an area of about 24.88 acres, which includes one Production Base, Test Ride and Parking Fields and R&D, Testing and Sales Centers. The floor space will amount to a total of 138377.21㎡.

Tens of motorcycle models will be designed and put to production. The annual ouput is expected to be 500.000 units.

The General Manager Mr.Lai and KTM AG COO Mr.Harald Plöckinger respectively delivered their speech and looked back how far we had come in the past six years. It was November 2011 that CFMOTO and KTM established the strategic cooperation. CFMOTO started as a KTM importer in China and later started CKD business. Now CFMOTO becomes a joint venture partner. CFMOTO plays an increasingly important role In KTM’s strategic global development.

The General Manager of CFMOTO Mr. Lai said: “ The Joint Venture will bring CFMOTO’s R&D and manufacturing capability to next level, benefiting from KTM’s advanced technology and profound experience. KTM also sees the manufacturing capacity, supply chain management and channel development capability in CFMOTO. After rounds of internal discussion, KTM aligned that CFMOTO is the right choice for implementing its global strategy.”
